It is a long established system of medicine offering a natural and effective approach to health problems using whole extracts of plants as they are found in nature.

Herbal medicine can be taken alongside most pharmaceutical drugs, however it is important that you consult with a qualified herbalist trained to know which herbs can be given safely.
I prescribe a combination of several different herbs tailored to your individual needs and mix them ready for you to take as a single medicine.
I mainly use herbal tinctures (plant extracts in water + alcohol) but also dried herbs for making infusions, capsules & powders, as well as creams and oils for external use in eg. skin complaints.
I am a qualified Medical Herbalist with over 20 years’ experience in Natural Healthcare including 17 years’ experience of working as a herbalist with a BSc honours degree in Herbal Medicine (5 years training).
As a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, established in 1864, I adhere to a strict code of ethics and am involved in an ongoing programme of Continuing Professional Development which keeps me up to date with training and research in the field of herbal medicine.
